“Genetic testing helped me...do everything in my power to fight the high risk of cancer that runs in my family.”
— Cathy
You may know that breast or ovarian cancer runs in your family, but you may not know how this relates to your risk. Fortunately, there's a blood test to identify this kind of inherited risk so you can take action to reduce your chances of developing cancer.
“Both men and women who inherit an altered gene, whether or not they develop cancer themselves, can pass the alteration on to their sons and daughters.”
— The National Human Genome Research Institute,
National Institutes of Health
Inherited risk for breast and ovarian cancer no longer means that cancer is inevitable. Knowledge is a powerful thing, and your confidential BRACAnalysis® results will help you and your family:
Hereditary breast and ovarian cancer (HBOC) syndrome is an inherited condition that causes an increased risk of developing these cancers, often before the age of 50. Research shows that about 10% of breast and ovarian cancer is due to an alteration in either of 2 genes—BRCA1 and BRCA2. These genes can come from either your mother or your father. BRACAnalysis® testing identifies BRCA mutations, so you can take action to reduce your chances of developing cancer.

Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer (HBOC) Syndrome: People with HBOC have up to 25 times the risk of breast cancer by age 50 and more than 22 times the risk of ovarian cancer by age 70. Learn the HBOC Basics.
